How to Apply

Two Ways to Submit

Before you apply, make sure you have the following ready. It will make the process smooth and complete.

Read the Eligibility Criteria

Sahaay is open to all students across India — no restrictions based on religion, caste, gender, or region. You must demonstrate genuine financial need and academic motivation.

Keep Your Documents Ready

  • Latest academic marksheet or report card
  • Aadhaar copy (student)
  • Fee receipt or official fee schedule from institution
  • Income proof (salary slip / income certificate / self-declaration)
  • Reference letter from a teacher, principal, or community leader

Choose Your Submission Method

Apply online via Google Forms (faster, supports file uploads), or download and complete the printable PDF form and WhatsApp / email it to us.

Shortlisted? Attend an Interview

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted directly for a brief online video call with at least one parent or guardian present.

What Happens Next

We Read Every Application

No automated filters. Every application is read personally by the Sahaay team within 7–10 days of submission.

Shortlisted? We'll Call

If shortlisted, we will contact you directly on the phone number provided to schedule a brief online video interview.

03

Final Decision by August

All applicants will be informed of the outcome. Selected students receive confirmation and disbursement is made directly to the institution.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Can I apply in a language other than English?

Yes. For the PDF form, you may write your story sections (Section 4) in any Indian language you are comfortable in.

Can a parent or guardian fill the form on behalf of the student?

Absolutely. Section 1 of the application specifically asks who is filling the form. Parents and guardians are welcome to apply on behalf of the student.

Is there any application fee?

No. Applying to Sahaay is completely free. We will never ask you to pay to submit an application or to be considered.

What if I don't have all the documents?

Apply anyway and note which documents are missing. We can work with you to gather them during the shortlisting stage. Do not let missing paperwork stop you from applying.

How will I know if my application was received?

Online submissions receive an automatic confirmation email. For PDF submissions, we will acknowledge receipt via WhatsApp or email within 48 hours.

Can I apply for more than one category?

No. Each student may apply under one category only — the one that best matches their current educational need.
